Sophie bracelet

I adore the soft colours of blue, turquoise and tan which feature in the Argentinian Calcite of the Sophie bracelet. I love to source unusual shapes of stones, and these gently faceted rectangular stones had a character of their own, that I was drawn to straight away.

Some of these Argentinian calcite stones feature a natural, organic tan-coloured banding, often the result of magnesium trapped inside the mineral structure during its formation. I wanted the design of the Sophie collection to mirror this feature. After much experimentation, I found that alternating different shapes of light gold hematite with tiny white freshwater pearls in between the Argentinian calcite achieved this. As with all genuine natural gemstones, the colour variations are formed in nature over thousands of years, so will vary from stone to stone, adding to the uniqueness of each individual Sophie bracelet.

The Sophie bracelet features a sterling silver adjustable clasp, enabling the bracelet to be altered to the desired length.
