The gorgeous Liberty necklace is made with a beautifully square hand-crafted Murano glass, a Swarovski crystal and freshwater pearls. The Murano glass beads are created using layers of glass powders in tones of violet and blue; then green for the leaves, and pink and white for the roses. The Murano glass bead is 15mm in diameter, and the drop measures 40mm from the sterling silver spiga chain (including the sterling silver bail).
The handmade lamp-worked beads are individually made under the flame in Venice. The ingredients of the homogenous mixture of various substances in the form of a powder used to create Murano glass have been a well-kept secret among the glass-manufacturers of Murano for centuries.
