“My family had two English Setters: Bertie and Wooster who were twins, and pretty much identical in looks. They were absolutely stunningly beautiful dogs but they seemed to share one brain cell between them – such a contrast to Jasper who is an extremely bright Tibetan Terrier!
Wooster was the first dog that I sculpted. Wooster had a knack of locating the best cushion in the house, settling his head down on it and making himself extremely comfy, and then going conveniently ‘deaf’ so that he wouldn’t be disturbed, so I felt that this would be a suitable pose for his sculpture.
Unfortunately we no longer have Wooster with us. As a family, we have always gained great comfort from his sculpture as it just how we remember his presence, slumbering softly on the sofa whilst we had to make do with the floor…”
